This Back to School Pocket Pal Owl is getting ready for his first day of school. He has his backpack and books all ready to go.

Little ones will love the interactive play this Premium Pattern has to offer with a removable backpack and books. They will spend hours placing the books into and out of the backpack pretending to go to and from school. My kids sure have! They scooped up the owls as soon as they were off my hook.

The Back to School Pocket Pal Owl was designed using medium weight (4) Scheepjes Stone Washed XL which I found on the Love Crafts Website. This is the first time I’ve used this yarn and I’m absolutely in love with it. The colours are amazing and it works up beautifully!

While I 100% recommend Scheepjes Stone Washed XL yarn for this project, it would also look great in just about any other yarn.

All the Pocket Pal animals work up quickly and easy, featuring a minimal sewing construction.  The head/body/limbs are all worked in 1 piece to minimize the amount of sewing (and the amount of time) it take to make them. This makes them perfect for a quick and cute gift or craftshow.
