How to assemble your Gnome Crochet Pattern

Sewing Placement – I highly recommend pinning ALL parts in place BEFORE sewing to make sure everything sits properly and is to your liking 🙂

Sewing Tips/Tricks
    Arms/Legs –https://youtu.be/YtjTR-8utsI
    Nose/Hat/Beard – https://youtu.be/tlZFr1YYykc

Legs:
Place the legs at approx Round 5 of the body about 4 sts apart.Sew in place.  When sewing the legs in place I sewed the top of the last FULL ROUND DOWN instead of just the sts from crocheting the round together.  See video.
Arms:
Place the arms on either side of the body at approx Round 16 of the body, approx 15 sts apart.  Sew in place. When sewing the arm in place I sewed the top of the last FULL ROUND DOWN instead of just the sts from crocheting the round together.  See video.
Nose:
Centred between the Arms with the bottom of the nose sitting on approx Round 11 and the top of the nose at approx Round 13.  Stuff lightly, sew in place along Round 5 of the nose. See video.
Hair:
Place the connected end of the hair at approx Round 14 of the body approx 10 sts apart.  Make sure the nose is centred between them (1-3 rounds below). Sew in place.
Beard:
Place the connected end of the beard strands around the bottom ⅔ of the nose.   Make sure the longest strand is at the bottom centre of the nose. If its a bit long that ok, it will be covered by the hat.  Sew in place. See video.
Heart onto Hat:
If placing the heart on the body of the hat:
Position as desired and sew in place.
If placing the hearts on the end of the hat:
Sew the outside of the hearts together RS facing out, leaving a space at the top of the heart to insert the tip of the hat.  After inserting the hat, sew through the hat and hearts to secure.
Hat:
Place the hat on the head so that it covers around the top half of the nose and over the tops of the arms.  Stuff lightly if desired (I left mine unstuffed). Sew in place if desired (if you opt not to sew in place, then weave in all ends.  See video.

  1. I love Gnomes! These are so darn cute! I can’t wait to get mine made after I finish a few orders from some of your other designs. You have an amazing talent for creating patterns. Love all of your designs. I think I have almost all of them. LOL

  2. LOVE these patterns. I just struggle to get bright yarn colors in the recommended yarn.
