Any child will love to cuddle this cute cow lovey, made from my advanced beginner, low-sew cow crochet pattern! You have to admit she’s super cute, right? Just like her farm animal buddies that came before her! Like the Horse Flip Flop pattern and the Pig Flip Flop pattern. You’ll be able to create a whole barnyard of stuffed animals, using my free amigurumi patterns!

A Farmyard of Amigurumi Patterns

I think you’ll find my cute cow pattern a little different, as she has an udder included. I know that sometimes including horns in a cow patten, can create a little debate as to whether it’s a heifer or bull. The udder I’ve designed on her soft belly, means there can be no confusion!

Our family is so fortunate here in Southern Ontario, Canada. We live in a small city setting surrounded by beautiful lakes and farms. In fact, my husband grew up on a dairy farm just out side of town that is still owned and operated by his family. So around here no set of Amigurumi’s is complete without farm animals.

These guys were so much fun to design and turned out absolutely adorable. They are worked from the bottom up with the option to crochet on the limbs as you go, just like the Flip Flop Teddy and Bunny designs. The Flip- Flop Farm designs include new techniques, including the bobble stitch (video) for the horse and cow muzzles as well as a chain stitch mane and tail for the horse (video).

Here is the first (of Three) Farm animals in the Flip Flop Set; the Flip Flop Cow Crochet Pattern, Flip Flop Horse and Flip Flop Pig Amigurumi.

How to assemble your Flip Flop Cow Crochet Pattern

Sewing Placement – I highly recommend pinning ALL parts in place BEFORE sewing to make sure everything sits properly and is to your liking 🙂

Note:  Disregard sewing the legs and arms if you’ve already crocheted them on.
Legs:
Place the legs at approx Round 5 of the body about 4 sts apart.Sew in place.  When sewing the legs in place I sewed the top of the last FULL ROUND DOWN instead of just the sts from crocheting the round together.
Arms:
Place the arms at approx Round 21 of the body, approx 3 sts apart.  Sew in place.  When sewing the arm in place I sewed the top of the last FULL ROUND DOWN instead of just the sts from crocheting the round together.
Spot:
Sew along Round 2 of the spot.
Muzzle:
Centre the muzzle on the body placing it between Rounds 24 and 27 on the head.  Stuff lightly and sew down along Round 3 of the muzzle
Ears:
Place the ears on either side of the head running vertically between Round 30 and 33.  Sew in place.
Horns:
Place the horns on either side of Round 35 of the head.  Sew in place
Udder:
Place on rounds 6-12, centred between the legs.  Stuff lightly and sew in place
